It's good to be alive...

Hello my fellow Rogians.

Made a CD for co-workers and ended up putting some RAE tracks on there to help keep it in the original and unique category (of which it was I assure you). On there I ended up laying down the track from HYPERBOLE: epiphany with the chorus 'It's good to be alive' and feel like I have to agree. Even though Christmas isn't here just yet, it appears it's arrived early for webizens in the form of our spiffy new website. If you read the blog or view the site please let us know what you like or think we can improve upon.

New is our great Gorey footage t00 - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2660985531467557032

Have a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!

B is for Busy

(Sidenote: I wonder how many "B is for..." puns we're going to make over the course of this blog? Probably too many. Most of them will be Sean's, I bet.)

December is an unexpectedly busy month for the Rogues, it seems.

A group of us went to see CLOWNZILLA: A Holiday Extravaganza this weekend, and it was really fun to see how our contributions were used. I didn't work on the show personally, but I know Sean, Megan, Joyce, and Pat spent a lot of time building and designing things, and they did a great job. We got to talk to Eli afterwards about doing another collaboration in the future, and I got really excited. I was busy with other projects when this one came around, but I'd love to work with the clowns again. Little-known fact: I used to clown with Eli too, just before I joined the Rogues. So it's like joining my little theater families. Awww.

We held auditions for our UCI workshop last week, too. It was weird being on the other side of the table, but it was an interesting insight into what I must have been like as a student auditioner. In the end, we found 12 extremely talented people for the workshop, and I couldn't be more pleased. I think it's going to be amazing.

Sean and I went to check out a band that's interested in working with us last week, too. Being the communications director means I get a lot of emails from artists of all stripes who want to collaborate on projects, and sometimes that means ending up on the guestlist for avant-garde shows in Hollywood. I love my job.

And finally, we had our annual holiday party. I'm always amazed how many friends of the group we have...it's really touching, and encouraging, too.

So yeah, lots going on. We're still working on the website, so in just a few days (I hope) we'll be ready to share all this with you.

Until then,
Cari
